PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Doug Minter is an experienced business advisor with a focus on business and ecosystem development. Currently serving as the Partnerships Sponsorship Manager for the Canadian Black Chamber, Doug plays a key role in managing partnerships and sponsorships to support Black-owned businesses across Canada.
Since 2008, Doug has been the CEO of Minter Consulting Group, where he has worked as a consultant, offering expertise in business strategy and development. Additionally, Doug has contributed significantly to the Knoxville Chamber in his role as Director of Small Business Development from 2008 to 2020, where he led various programs aimed at supporting small businesses, including the PROPEL program and the PROPEL Mentor/Protege program. These programs specifically helped small, ethnically diverse, women-owned, rural, and veteran-owned businesses.
Doug also led the Diversity Champions Taskforce, a network of over 50 diversity officers and human resources professionals dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion within the Innovation Valley Region.
